Photograph the receipt. The VAT return looks after itself.
Farm VAT reads the supplier, the date and each VAT rate off the receipt. You check the figures. Your two-monthly totals and the report for the accountant stay ready.

Three steps, at the counter
- 1
Photograph
Take a photo at the counter, or add the PDF the merchant emailed. It is shrunk on the phone before it goes anywhere.
- 2
Check
Supplier, date, invoice number and every VAT rate are filled in for you. Anything the app is unsure of is marked. Nothing is saved until you say.
- 3
Done
The period totals update. When the two months are up, send the accountant the report as a PDF.
What it keeps for you
- The VAT period as it stands
- VAT on purchases, VAT on sales and what you can expect to reclaim or owe, for the bi-monthly period Revenue uses, or any range you pick.
- A report the accountant can file from
- Totals, VAT by rate, every purchase and sale, and a list of anything that needs a second look. Shared as a PDF or a spreadsheet.
- The spray purchases register
- Each plant protection product with the PCS number off its label, ready to print for a DAFM or Bord Bia inspection.
- Honest arithmetic
- Net plus VAT is checked against the gross on every line. Duplicates and missing invoice numbers are pointed out, never quietly fixed.
- The receipt itself
- Every record opens on the original photo, so the paper copy can stay in the drawer.
Free to start
The first receipts are read for nothing. After that, one yearly subscription, bought in the app, covers the reading, the reports and the register. No card needed to try it.
